Plants are something that are pleasant to look at and always give you a refreshing feeling. These are things that go a long way and will surely last long if you take good care of them. By giving your guests something that they can take care of and will last, they will remember you and your wedding for as long as they have the plant. Though they aren't exactly DIY wedding favors, favors like these are perfect for any wedding held outdoors or with a theme that has to do with nature.

How to Do It:

1. Measure out your seeds. You don’t really need a whole lot for this type of favor. You can have just about a teaspoon.
2. Put your seeds in clear cellophane bags and seal them tightly. Make sure that there aren’t any holes in the bags.
3. Put this inside your tiny terracotta pot and tie a ribbon around it along with your tag.

Tips:

• Don’t forget to add some growing instructions to your seeds so guests know how to care for them properly.
• Don’t limit yourself to flowers. You can also use seeds for other types of plants (like herbs); just make sure that they are easy to grow and will not need too much care since this can be hard for guests who don’t have a green thumb.
• Be creative with your tag or label. Add a poem about plants, flowers or trees.
• If you aren’t too sold on the idea of using seeds, you can also use plants that are already grown. Seedlings will make a good choice for favors.
• Cacti will also make an good wedding favor. They live long and are low maintenance as well. If you have a dessert theme then this can make for a perfect favor.
• If you are giving away grown plants or even just seedlings, you can use these as table decorations, too. You will be saving money since you hit two birds with one stone.
