| Great Wedding Ideas on a Budget |
|
All brides want to have a great wedding but not everyone can afford the price tag that comes with it. Well, who says that you need to spend so much on your wedding just to make it perfect? There are a lot of things that you can do to make sure that you stay within your budget and still have the wedding of your dreams.
Here are some tips and tricks for you if you are on a budget.
- Not enough cash for the gown that you wanted? Don’t give up yet, you may be able to get the gown you want cheaper if you get a sample gown. These are the gowns tried on by customers so they are sold at a marked down price. You just need to be careful and check for any damage such as stains or rips.
- You can also add your own personal touch and incorporate your theme into your gown. Pick a plain gown and use silk flowers, appliqués and other things to embellish your gown. If you’re good at drawing or painting (or know someone who is) you can have hand painted designs put on the gown.
- Instead of paying for an expensive reception in a restaurant, you can have family members help in and have the food cooked in your own home. This is ideal for weddings with a small number of guests.
- Instead of renting out a function hall for your reception, consider having it in your own home. If you have a large yard or enough space in your home then you can just put tables around. Function halls are often expensive and charge by the hour which can put a dent on your budget.
- Make your own giveaways. You don’t have to be the next Martha Stewart to be able to do this. All you need is a little creativity. You can even ask your girlfriends or bridesmaids to help you out. This will make a good pre-wedding activity for you all and give you the chance to spend time and bond.
- A beach theme is a really cheap and pretty theme to have. You can save a lot on gowns since you can just dress your entourage in nice beach dresses and polo’s. You will also be saving on payments for the church and function hall, since you can have both your wedding and reception on the beach.
- If you’re really short on funds then you can skip mailing your invitations. Instead of getting it printed and mailing your invitations out, why not just email it. You can still have the invitations that you want and it will contain all the details, the only difference is that you will send it through email helping you cut costs.
Working on a budget can really be a challenge but it will also bring out your creative side. There is no such thing as impossible when it comes to planning a wedding on a budget.
