How to Make Use of a Wedding Checklist Timeline

We all know by now that the success of your theme wedding lies in the careful planning of everything beforehand. Careful planning entails the use of a checklist to help make sure that you do not miss anything. If you already have a checklist then what is a wedding checklist timeline and how can it help you out? Your wedding checklist timeline is something that will work hand in hand with your checklist to ensure that you get everything done. What it does is prioritizes the things to be done in terms of importance and the time it takes to complete the task.

A checklist will only tell you what you need to get done, but it will not tell you what to prioritize. It can be very easy to do the do the wrong thing first and end up not having time for other things or not getting the things that you need on time. A timeline will help get a clear perspective on what needs to be done months ahead of your wedding and what you can do just a few weeks before the big day. With this you can slowly get things done so there is no need to press the panic button just a few weeks before the wedding.

Your checklist timeline can be made for 24 months before your wedding or even just six months before it depending on the time you have on your hands. No matter what type of timeline you have on hand the first thing that you need to do is get the most important things on your checklist into your timeline. Typically you will have to get a marriage license, meet with your priest, rabbi or pastor and select your wedding site first. This will also include reservations for places especially if you are getting married on a busy month or when weddings are common.

Once you’ve dealt with the things that are the most important move onto what will take the most time to do. Getting a gown and clothing for the entourage may be done about 6-9 months before the wedding. Invitations go here are well, since you will want to send them out in advance so have them ready early. If you are having anything custom made then make sure that you get it into your timeline earlier as well.

When you reach the countdown to about three months before your wedding you should have most of the things on your checklist done. This is the time to be finalizing plans and double checking that the previous things on the lists have all been done. You should be relaxing at this point and attending only to minor things since you will have had most things done already. The last few weeks before your wedding on your timeline, you should just be attending to things that have to do with yourself. This is where you put in getting appointments at the spa or just spending time to relax and unwind to make sure you are at your best.

A wedding checklist timeline can be your best friend when you make your wedding plans. If you want things to go smoothly and you want to be sitting pretty before your wedding then be sure to use one of these.
